UNYX
The Google Ads modules

Does Google Ads optimise towards your customers, or towards your forms?

Google knows a form was submitted. It has no idea whether the person picked up the phone, whether the quote was signed, or for how much. So it buys what it can measure: forms.

Why this happens

  • The commercial outcome happens after the click, in your CRM or on the phone, out of Google's reach.
  • Every enquiry looks equal to the algorithm, including the ones you can never reach.
  • Long sales cycles leave Google without feedback for weeks.
  • The campaigns producing the most enquiries are not always the ones producing customers.

How to check it yourself

These checks are done directly in your Google Ads account, with no tool at all.

  1. 1Take your last 20 signed deals and trace the campaign they came from: the split is often a surprise.
  2. 2Compare the number of forms per campaign with the number of appointments actually booked.
  3. 3Work out a cost per signed deal, not a cost per form.
  4. 4Check whether your CRM keeps the Google click identifier: without it, no matching is possible.
What UNYX does

UNYX maps your business results back to the advertising that produced them, then sends those offline conversions to Google Ads, into the actions you designate. The algorithm then optimises towards signed deals rather than form fills.

Frequently asked questions

Do you have to send personal data to Google?

Not necessarily: the match is made through the click identifier stored when the enquiry came in. That is a technical identifier, not personal data.

From what volume is this worth doing?

It becomes useful as soon as campaigns can be compared: a few dozen commercial outcomes are enough to see that one campaign brings customers while another only brings enquiries.

Other common Google Ads questions

Every check described here can be done without UNYX. The modules exist so you no longer have to do them by hand.
