UNYX
The Google Ads modules

Are your ads triggering on the right searches?

The keywords you buy are not the phrases people actually type. In between, Google interprets. That is where budget leaks the most quietly.

Why this happens

  • Broad targeting lets Google widen your keywords to neighbouring intents, sometimes very distant ones.
  • Job searches, definitions and free-repair queries often look a lot like your commercial keywords.
  • A negative keyword list built at launch ages fast: intents shift every season.
  • Nobody reads the hundreds of new search terms generated every week.

How to check it yourself

These checks are done directly in your Google Ads account, with no tool at all.

  1. 1In Google Ads, open the "Search terms" report over 30 days and sort by cost, highest first.
  2. 2Look at the rows that spent without a single conversion: that is your immediate saving.
  3. 3Compare the actual term with the keyword that triggered it: the gap tells you whether targeting is too broad.
  4. 4Repeat over the last 7 days to catch intents that have just appeared.
What UNYX does

UNYX reads those search terms for you, campaign by campaign, and only surfaces the ones that call for a decision: clearly off-target, spending without converting, newly appeared intent. Nothing is excluded automatically: the decision stays yours.

Frequently asked questions

Should a search term with no conversion be excluded straight away?

No. A query may simply be recent or rarely served. Look first at the number of clicks and the money spent: below a few dozen euros with no meaningful click volume, it is too early to decide.

Can negative keywords hurt delivery?

Yes, if they are set too broadly. A broad negative can cut legitimate searches that happen to contain the same word. That is why an exclusion is decided case by case, reading the whole phrase.
