What your DPO does

What an external DPO actually does

GDPR is not settled in a day: it is held over time.

A proper appointment

We formally register you with the CNIL and publish working contact details (dpo@your-domain), your first piece of evidence of compliance, one you can rely on during an inspection.

Your compliance kept up to date

Records of processing, impact assessments, legal bases, retention periods: we structure, advise and document your evidence continuously, not just once.

Individuals' rights handled

Access, erasure, objection: we are reachable and handle requests from your customers and staff within the legal deadlines, in your place.

An ally when you are inspected

A data breach, an inspection, a sensitive project: an independent contact who prepares your answers and warns you before it becomes irreversible.

Our method

Your compliance becomes a system, not a gamble

1

We check whether you are required to

Are you required to appoint a DPO? We analyse your processing and give you a dated note, your first piece of evidence of compliance, whether it is mandatory or not.

2

We register you and put structure in place

Registration with the CNIL, contact details, records of processing, priorities set by risk: your compliance starts on solid ground.

3

We follow up and warn you

Regulatory watch, rights requests, audits, dashboard: your DPO stays active all year, not only on inspection day.

Why an external DPO

What an in-house DPO cannot give you

Independent by design.

An employed DPO ends up judging their own employer. Ours reports to none of your departments, and that is exactly what the regulation expects.

Reachable, not theoretical.

A working dpo@ address and a human at the other end. Requests from your customers and staff are handled within the legal deadlines, on your behalf.

Kept up all year.

Your processing changes, the rules move. We follow continuously instead of dusting off a binder on inspection day.

The cost of shared expertise.

An employed DPO is a whole salary to fund. Outsourced, you pay for the skill when it is needed, not for the chair all year.

Your evidence, in writing.

Records, impact assessments, dated notes. The day the authority looks, what counts is not what you do: it is what you can show.

Backed by public grants.

The French State's digital transformation scheme for small and mid-sized companies covers part of your compliance work. We build the application with you.

Our red lines

What we will never do

An officer who always says yes protects you from nothing. Their independence is what the law expects, and what you are paying for.

  • Promise you zero penalties.
  • Sign records we have not read.
  • Sell you a service you do not need.
  • Leave you alone before the authority.
  • Decide in your place, without you.

The questions we are asked

What to know before deciding

Am I required to appoint a DPO?
The regulation requires it in particular when your activity relies on the regular, large-scale monitoring of people, or on sensitive data such as health. Many companies are concerned without knowing it. The assessment answers that question in writing, and the dated note stands as evidence, whether the answer is yes or no.
Is an external DPO recognised?
Yes. The regulation expressly allows the officer to carry out their tasks under a service contract, without being an employee. The appointment is filed with the supervisory authority in your name, and our details become the public point of contact.
Who stays responsible, you or me?
You do. Responsibility for your data processing cannot be delegated, and nobody can seriously promise otherwise. Our role is to advise, monitor and warn you in full independence, so that you decide with your eyes open.
What happens during an inspection?
You do not answer alone. We prepare the expected documents, draft the replies with you and remain the technical contact throughout. The same applies to a data breach, where time matters more than anything.
Does everything have to be redone?
Almost never. We start from what exists, sort by real risk, and deal first with what genuinely exposes you. The rest falls into place over the following months, without stopping your business.

An inspection gives no warning.

Your appointment can be filed this week, and your compliance kept from next month. All it takes is starting.
