UNYX
The Google Ads modules

What happens if your landing page goes down mid-campaign?

A landing page can go down, redirect elsewhere or lose its form without the campaign stopping. Google keeps serving, you keep paying, and visitors land on an error.

Why this happens

  • A release changes a URL without updating the ads pointing at it.
  • A hosting incident makes the page unavailable for a few hours, often outside office hours.
  • A third-party form stops loading without the page looking broken.
  • A redirect added for SEO sends paid traffic to a generic page.

How to check it yourself

These checks are done directly in your Google Ads account, with no tool at all.

  1. 1Click your own main ads, from a mobile and outside your company network.
  2. 2Check that the form appears AND that a test submission actually reaches you.
  3. 3In Google Ads, watch the "Final URL" column after every site release.
  4. 4A sharp drop in conversion rate at constant traffic is the first symptom of a broken page.
What UNYX does

UNYX collects the landing pages used by your ads and checks them regularly: availability, unexpected redirect, missing form, slowness. You are warned while the campaign is spending, not at the end of the month.

Frequently asked questions

Should the campaign be paused when the page is broken?

It is often the cheapest decision while the fix is made: a live campaign pointing at an error is paying for clicks that cannot produce anything. The decision remains yours.

Is a slow page really a problem?

Yes, twice over: some visitors leave before it displays, and the ad's quality score suffers, which makes the click more expensive.
